Our Story

Family Business

Four Generations Strong

Led by 4th generation furniture maker Lee Kenny, Buywood has over 40 years experience in handcrafting some of the highest quality, unique timber furniture available in Australia. Our extensive experience means you will always be provided with expert advice and assistance to take your ideas from sketches to completion and beyond. We are proud to maintain the art of woodworking by passing our knowledge onto our carefully selected and dedicated apprentices.

Custom Timber Furniture

A Personalised Process

Beginning with the wood of your choice, we are able to design and custom make just about anything you can imagine in our purpose-built workshop including coffee and dining tables, bedroom furniture, sideboards, display cabinets, bar stools, outdoor furniture and storage solutions such as walk in robes.

Offering a personal one-to-one designer service, Lee Kenny oversees the design process from hand sketches through to final polishing and installation in your home. We invite our clients to the stop by our Brisbane workshop to see their piece in progress, and we pride ourselves on providing a true insight into the art and intricacies of craftsmanship involved.

Australian Made

Buywood Furniture is a Brisbane based business servicing clients across Australia.  Our showroom and workshop operates from Alderley to showcase our concepts and give you inspiration for your own designs. Our artisans are at work Monday to Friday and would be happy to give you some insight into the quality and beauty of handcrafted timber furniture.
