our story

our process

Beginning with the wood of your choice, we are able to design and custom make just about anything you can imagine in our purpose-built workshop. Our wide range covers, coffee and dining tables, bedroom furniture, sideboards, display cabinets, bar stools, outdoor furniture and storage solutions such as walk in robes. Offering a personal one-to-one designer service, Lee Kenny oversees the design process from hand sketches through to final polishing and installation in your home. We invite our clients to stop by our Brisbane workshop to see their piece in progress, and we pride ourselves on providing a true insight into the art and intricacies of our experienced craftsmanship.

meet, discuss & refine

An initial meeting in the showroom or via zoom will offer an experience of our Buywood original range, timber finishes and fabric selections. One of One and Signature crafting will require indicative images or rough sketches for further discussion.

sketch, render & approve

Upon review of quotation, refinements can be made as many times as needed, to ensure requirements are met. Once a final approval of design is confirmed, a deposit invoice will follow and the job will be locked into the schedule. Closer to time of crafting, our design team will draw up 3D drawings and renders of your project in scale, for final approvals. Small modifications can still be achieved in this stage, as nothing is sent to the workshop, unless approved by client.

measure, craft, deliver & install

If applicable, a final site measure may be conducted to ensure all sizing is accurate before crafting begins. This is done on site and by one of our experienced team members. Once final design is signed off, our experienced team of craftspeople begin production. During the production process, we welcome our clients to visit their project development on Saturdays. Once completed, we will arrange installation and delivery on a day and time that suits you best.
